About me
Gerry Peeters
Gerry Peeters has years of experience in the field of traffic and mobility.
In 1992 he started his career at the then gendarmerie. From the beginning he was always active in traffic enforcement.
Since 2003, he started to broaden his knowledge from mere enforcement to legitimate enforcement, influencing behavior and mobility.
In 2008 he became co-responsible for the traffic cell in the PZ Demerdal-DSZ (Diest and Scherpenheuvel-Zichem). Through participation in supervisory committees, traffic consultations and the territorial affairs cells, the hunger for broader knowledge about sustainable mobility increased.
In 2011 he became a traffic expert and in 2014 he joined the Centrex Road Traffic knowledge and expertise center of the integrated police as commissioner and coordinator.

In 2017, he was appointed as a liaison officer to the governor of Flemish Brabant to be mainly active in the theme of road safety and sustainable mobility.
In 2018, an opportunity arose to work as a commissioner at the federal road police in Limburg, and he has been head of the department since 2021.
In addition to this activity, he provides training at ANPA, the national police academy for officers, and through VSV at various police and administrative schools. He is part of a number of advisory groups, both at federal and Flemish level.
He collaborates on various road safety initiatives with VIAS and VSV.
